Culture is an events based app that is gives you the events you want, when you want it. Redesigned the app flow to deliver a more usable and delightful experience. During the first 6 months of this startup company, our team went through several iterative design processes, and an accelerator program that focused on technology companies competing on a global scale. As design lead of this company, my contributions were interaction and visual design, user research, branding, presentation slide design, MVP product and ongoing deliverables.
GOAL:
Redesign the current UI design, rebrand, and present a MVP ready product to consumers.

Reflections
As one of my first projects involved with UI/UX design, it was an irreplaceable learning experience. Culture presented the intriguing problem of working with an unknown product market fit, an undeveloped site in beta, and an old live site that each presented bits and pieces of an analytics and design puzzle. It was challenging to step into the problem space and figure out how to conduct research in a way that considered the value of each of those pieces and would help fit them together. Learning how to quickly parse what is valuable for a minimum viable project (MVP) was a key skill I gained during this project, and helped me to internalize project approach from a business perspective. Scrums and agile methodologies allowed me to learn quick turnover times whilst executing high-quality products.
I grew my skills in leadership, driving a project and understanding data gaps. I enjoyed taking the driver seat in creating the identity of the brand and implementing designs that optimized event search.
